Within the AGRIFOODSKILLS project, the Agrifood Cluster plays a key role in developing future skill

The CLAN plays a leading and co-leading role in several key activities. It is responsible for organizing Open Days, events designed to promote the most in-demand skills in the agrifood sector, directly involving businesses and workers in collaboration with Aarhus University. Additionally, it supports other partners in the external quality review of project outcomes and contributes to defining the national roadmap for Italy, working with CONFAGRI to align the European strategy with the specific needs of the Italian context.

What is AGRIFOODSKILLS about?

The project involves 29 partners from 13 European countries and is coordinated by the University of Turin (UNITO). Its goal is to contribute to the strategic development of the Community of Experts of the Agrifood Pact for Skills, enhancing the skills of workers in plant and animal production, agrifood, and veterinary sectors.

How?

Through innovative training content that will include crucial topics such as artificial intelligence, the future of food, digital and green skills, also leveraging the results of projects like FIELDS and I-RESTART.

AGRIFOODSKILLS will be a key pillar of the Agrifood Pact for Skills and will share its results with the Community of Experts. A dedicated Observatory, supported by working groups and events, will ensure the long-term sustainability of the project.

AGRIFOODSKILLS integrates and strengthens existing initiatives in agriculture and veterinary fields, offering concrete tools for future challenges. Among these are micro-credentials—digital certifications that attest to the completion of learning experiences—organized by skill areas, aligned with levels 3–5 and 6–8 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

To support the Observatory’s activities, the Political Forum 2050 will serve as a strategic platform to guide decisions and resources, providing essential insights and proposals.
